To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in support of General Freight/Brookville Carriers and the services that they offer to shippers and receivers of goods throughout our region and beyond.
Many trucking companies offer the same fundamental product involving the movement of cargo from point A to point B. While this will often fulfill the requirements of the shipper, it does not add any particular enhanced value to the overall Logistics chain.
General Freight/Brookville has all the fundamentals of a solid trucking company as well as several exceptional attributes that make them an outstanding business partner when it comes to problem solving:
- They take the time to really understand your business and what you are trying to accomplish.
- They are particularly interested in the “problem areas” and how they can assist with solutions, even if it is not expected by their client.
- They are truly innovative, preferring to consider options that are non- traditional in order to tackle areas of concern.
- General Freight is well backed financially, allowing them to invest in equipment that may be needed to enhance their offering, or even to create a new division altogether.
- Brad Beach, Byron Livingstone, and the rest of the management staff are exceptionally “hands on” when it comes to fulfilling the promises that they have made in attracting new business or in maintaining existing contracts. This means that they are not only available and involved on a 24/7 basis, but they are also certified drivers themselves and do not hesitate to jump in a truck and go if necessary to avoid a service issue or even just to examine an operation from the truckers perspective. This allows them to analyze problems and effect solutions quickly, while at the same time securing a high level of “buy-in” from their employees due to “management by example”.
General Freight/Brookville is the largest volume trucking company serving the Port of Saint John, and an integral part of the success that we all enjoy as business partners. I would encourage any company that requires goods to be moved by road to closely consider what they have to offer and give them the opportunity to prove that they can deliver. I would also welcome any direct inquiries from companies interested to learn more about our experience with General Freight. Please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
Regards,
Andrew Dixon - Vice President, Marketing and Business Development
